Divine Mercy Chaplet

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a prayer that God revealed to the Apostle of Mercy, St. Faustina Kowalska. The Divine Mercy Chaplet is an especially powerful prayer invoking God's Divine Mercy and aid to whoever the Chaplet is prayed for. Our Lord said to St. Faustina to pray the Chaplet especially for the sick and the dying. He also said the prayer I love the most is the prayer for conversion.

How to pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy

The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy can be prayed singularily (e.g. in one day, or many non-consecutive days) or it can be prayed as a novena (9 consecutive days). It is a popular devotion to pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy as a novena from Good Friday to Divine Mercy Sunday(2^nd Sunday of Easter).

This Chaplet can be said, sung or chanted.It is prayed on ordinary 5 decade Rosary beads.

1. Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Our Father on the 1^st bead

On the 2^ndBead pray a Hail Mary

On the 3^rdBead pray the Apostles Creed

On the Our Father Beads of the Rosary [SEE ROSARY]

Pray the following Prayer:

Eternal Father,

I offer you the Body and Blood,
Soul and Divinity
of your dearly beloved Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.

Next on the Hail Mary beads[SEE ROSARY]
Pray the following prayer:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

After the 5 deacades have been concluded you say the following prayer three times:

Holy God, Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.
